SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY PROFILE
Haddon Township is a suburban community of 15,000 people, located in Camden County about seven miles east of Philadelphia, PA. Many business and professional people have been attracted to our community because of its excellent school system and quiet, residential atmosphere.
Haddon Township High School is a comprehensive public senior high school with an enrollment of just over 600 students in grades nine through twelve. Our first graduating class was in 1965, and our present senior class has approximately 160 students.
Students must complete a total of 120 credits, and the chart indicates the minimum course requirements students need to earn an HTHS diploma. To meet the needs of a variety of learners, HTHS offers special education, college preparatory, accelerated/honors, and Advanced Placement coursework. In addition to our academic course offerings, students have the opportunity to enrich their educational experience by taking a variety of courses through the Departments of Visual and Performing Arts and Business Education/Family Consumer Science, & Technology as well as elective course offerings through the English and Social Studies departments.

GPA is computed using the above quality points. Beginning with grade 9 all courses are included in calculating GPA. Final course grades are recorded on students’ transcripts, and GPA is calculated each year in June. Class rank is based on cumulative GPA and is recorded at the end of the junior year. A final GPA and rank are recorded on students’ transcripts upon completion of 12th grade. Courses taken via an online source are noted on the transcript but are not calculated as part of students’ GPA.

The majority of HTHS graduates attend college upon graduation, 60% attending four-year colleges and 30% attending two-year colleges. The remaining 10% enter the military or seek employment. We are extremely proud of our school, and all of its people, both students and faculty, who make it what it is.
